Aston and his two full brothers, Shelby and Indy joined our flock in February 2020 at around 9 months old. They all look very similar, but you can tell Aston by his broad chest, thick black legs, and floppy comb. He is the biggest of his brothers and a strong leader in the flock. He has a bubbly personality and comes to investigate anything you are doing. Aston loves eating straight out of the feed bucket and is normally found hanging out with Elliott.
Nova and his brother Atlas came to live with us after they grew up into roosters and his old family needed to rehome them. They were born early 2021 and came to live here shortly after. They are their own little "bachelor flock" since we have only roosters living with us! Nova is extremely inquisitive and has a very expressive face. His gorgeous feathers have a slight blue-green trim in the sunlight and his tailfeathers create a perfect waterfall.
Thomas, a little bantam rooster, came to live with us in December 2019 after he decided he no longer wanted his old family's kids in his space. He was born in April 2018 and actually had an appearance in the movie "12 Mighty Orphans". Thomas is the smallest of our residents, but does not let his size stop him! He is best buds with Oliver and Otto who can be found spending their days roosting in the sun. He is the first one up the the morning and helps keep an eye on the flock!
Otto, an Easter Egger rooster, joined the Noe family in April 2021 at about 9 months old after his old family no longer wanted to keep him because he was a rooster. This is unfortunately the fate of many roosters each year when people only want to raise hens for their eggs. Otto is a quiet guy and best friend with tiny Thomas and Oliver. The hang out and sleep next to each other every night. Their little group of three is always together, even when they go to drink or get a snack.
Bowser is a little Booted Bantam that came to us over the summer of 2023 at a few months old. He came from the same home as our parrot, Yoshi. They had Bowser as an indoor pet for their daughter but as he matured and started to crow, they could no longer keep him. He now lives his best rooster life with Thomas, Elliott, and Otto.
Oliver, an Easter Egger rooster, came to live with us in February 2020 at about 9 months old after his old family no longer wanted to keep him because he was a rooster. Oliver has the silliest personality and loves water. He comes running any time we're refilling their water and drags his buddies along too. He is best friends with tiny Thomas and Otto, they hang out and sleep next to each other every night. Their little group of three is always together, even when they go to drink or get a snack
